Zachary Grady is a lifelong Republican and native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Zachary was born in Biloxi and has lived his entire life in District 115. Zachary and his wife Alison currently live in D’Iberville where they are raising their two kids (Anna Grace and Charlie). Zachary, or Zach, as his friends know him is a graduate of D’Iberville High School. Zach worked his way through college attending Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and William Carey University where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and his M.B.A. Zach is proud of where he was raised and is a believer in giving back to the community which has given so much to him.
Zach answered the call to serve when he was commissioned as a uniform officer with the D’iberville Police Officer in 2010. Zach served as a Police Officer for the City of D’Iberville for a decade where he rose through the ranks. During his career in Law Enforcement, he held the positions of a Patrolman, Corporal, Sergeant, Narcotics Detective and Criminal Investigator. While working as a Narcotics Detective, Zachary was part of the Coastal Narcotics Enforcement Team where he worked to get drugs off the street in all of Harrison County. Also, while at the Police Department, he spent time helping run the summer camp for the D.A.R.E. program and as a mentor for the Police Explorer summer program, teaching classes about Law Enforcement.
Zach is passionate about serving his community and remains an advocate for Law Enforcement and first responders. In 2016, Zach spearheaded the United in Blue event and fundraiser, which raised awareness and money for six families of Law Enforcement Officers who were killed in the line of duty. Zach continues to lead the charge with United in Blue and stills support Officers and families who are affected by tragedies.
Zach is a family man, who has been married to Alison Grady for over 13 years and has two children Anna 10 and Charlie 5. Zach spends his time with recreational sports leagues across the coast, volunteering in youth sports as a coach for his daughter and sons ball teams.
Zach spent a lot of time with his grandfather Bob Stein growing up along the Back Bay where he learned to appreciate our marine resources. Zach watched his family work to give back and fight for the community by being a voice for the working class as the publishers of the Biloxi D’Iberville Press for 28 years. Zach’s grandparents, Bob and Shannon Stein, left a legacy of tenacity and grit that lives today with Zach and the Stein family members. Zach’s roots run deep in South Mississippi and he believes in preserving the past while ensuring the future.
